Castelle announces a licensing agreement and collaboration between its Castelle brand and renowned interior designer and author, Barclay Butera. Through the partnering, the award-winning casual furnishings manufacturer will produce and market a line of outdoor furnishing designs created by Butera. The partnership also will include joint events highlighting outdoor living within design and home furnishings industries.

With Barclay, we saw a true fit. In addition to his design expertise, it was his focus on high end customers and products that we saw as a natural fit for our luxury furnishings brand.”
The Barclay Butera by Castelle casual furnishings are planned to include the manufacturer’s custom cast aluminum construction in conjunction with original Butera designs. The results of the collaboration are slated to debut during the April 2017 High Point Market as well as the ICFA (International Casual Furnishings Association) Preview Show in July 2017 and the ICFA Casual Market Chicago in September 2017.
From designing luxury residences, exclusive hospitality venues, to Rolls-Royce automobiles; Barclay brings his signature West Coast vibe and glamorous yet livable design sensibility to life for outdoor with this collaboration. Since 1994, he has been the creative force behind his eponymous design firm and showroom in Newport Beach, California. His success in Newport prompted Butera to establish showrooms in West Hollywood, California, and Park City, Utah. Butera is renowned for his approachable elegance and glamorous, West-Coast-chic interiors. His interior and exterior design expertise allows Butera to understanding of the total home concept. Butter is the author of five coffee-table books featuring Barclay Butera Modern Living (Gibbs-Smith, 2016) that includes numerous outdoor living designs.

With this licensing agreement, the Barclay Butera by Castelle collaboration will join a long list of premiere product lines that carry the designer’s name. Butera recently has entered into partnerships with an unprecedented number of the industry’s most respected product lines from lighting to wall coverings. Barclay’s spectacular interior design projects and his myriad of licensing collections are frequently featured in luxury consumer publications, decor and lifestyle magazines.
